Water quality

The water does the fertilizing. We just watch it.

The water does the fertilizing

We add nothing. Kelp drinks the same nitrates that fuel spring blooms, so we never dose a line. Our job is to watch the chemistry and stay out of its way.

What we watch for

Warm spikes are the real enemy — a few weeks above 15 °C and the blades start to break down. When the sensors show it, we harvest early and save the crop.
