Ocean monitoring
Sensors on every line report depth, temperature, and growth — live.
Every line, instrumented
A sensor node rides every line — depth, temperature, light, and a camera that checks blade length. Readings go out over a satellite hop, back to the dashboards in the ops shed.

Why it matters
Kelp grows about a metre a month when it is happy, and stops when it is not. The telemetry tells us which before we can see it from a boat.
